ASHLEY STACEY - THE MORNING SUN (Single)
Indie rock - South East London, England

BY JOHN'S MUSIC HUB

"Ashley Stacey is an artist we have reviewed a few times now and we most recently looked at his EP ‘The EP You Needed All These Years’. Now he is back with an eponymous new single marking the formation of the full live band – “Ashley Stacey & The Morning Sun”... an evolved glimmering soundscape that encapsulates the mood of one of those unplanned late nights turned magical mornings! (It) instantly grabs your attention with 90’s Britpop jangles a little similar to the likes of Oasis combined with groovy psychedelic 60’s elements like the later Beatles stuff. The song has an almost magical feel the way the guitar rings out and forms a strong melodic bond to the beat of the drums. The guitars really are so smooth and play off that trippy bassline so sweetly while the drums punch through and drive the track onward."
